About this tool
Gaussian Blur uses a three-pass box blur approximation to create a high-quality Gaussian blur effect at any radius. All processing is done locally — your images never leave your device.
How it works
- 1Upload your image.
- 2Drag the Radius slider (0–30).
- 3Three box-blur passes approximate a true Gaussian for smooth results.
- 4Download your blurred image at full resolution.
Common use cases
- ✓Creating background bokeh effects
- ✓Blurring sensitive information
- ✓Softening textures for design use
- ✓Creating depth-of-field simulations
Privacy first. Gaussian Blur runs entirely inside your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your images are never uploaded to any server, stored anywhere or shared with third parties. Everything happens locally on your device.
